In the early 90’s, Michael Akira West brought the spirit of LA skateboarding culture to the local mountains where the emergence of snowboarding was taking shape. Thirty years and hundreds of innovations later, 686 remains founder-led and strives to live by Mike’s original ideals. For three decades 686 has been developing and testing technical apparel. 686 is based around innovation, people and purpose with the goal of re imagining performance. 686 creates community, Experiences and products for self-expression to go everywhere and do anything.
